The Jill Verhosek Scholarship Fund has been created and named in Jill’s honor to memorialize her dedication and contributions to our community. This fund will be used to support an annual scholarship for student and emerging professionals who are passionate about the field of preservation.

Jill Verhosek, an extraordinary preservation architect, combined technical expertise with bulldog tenacity to care for heritage buildings. Her work at Trinity Church in the City of Boston and the Conrad Duberstein U. S. Bankruptcy Courthouse (a GSA Design Excellence project and winner of the coveted Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award) are only two of the many buildings she touched in her 21-year career working. She first worked at EYP in Washington DC and later at Goody Clancy in Boston from 2006 to 2022.  Her work exemplified her unswerving commitment to quality in every aspect of work, from analysis to final implementation. She earned an M.S. in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Design from Clemson University of Classical Architecture. In APT she found peers and friends in the diverse professions that celebrate and sustain heritage.

APT Northeast is proud to share Jill’s profound impact on the preservation community and carry forward her legacy.
